Art And Olfaction Award

ALTRUIST by J.F. Schwarzlose was rewarded by the Art and Olfaction Awards!

For its 4th edition, the jury of the Art and Olfaction Awards voted ALTRUIST by J.F. Schwarzlose as one of the 2 winners in 2017 in the independent perfumery category. The Ceremony was held on the 4th of May, 2017 in Berlin, at the Silent Green Kulturquartier.

The fragrance, created by Véronique Nyberg VP of Fine Fragrance Creation at MANE, was composed with sparkling citrus such as Lemon and Bergamot essences, Aqual™, an aldehydic MANE captive, Ginger Pure Jungle Essence™, Black Pepper Pure Jungle Essence™, ingredients from MANE exclusive extraction technologies and Nutmeg essential oil.
An imaginary floral facet was added combining Rose Superessence with the sensuality of Orange blossom absolute, two iconic scents often reinterpreted in perfumery, anchored in our unconscious.

In the base, the blend of woods and Ambramone™ created a dense, both dry and humid scent reminiscent of fresh paper delicately soaked in ink.

The Awards are given to outstanding creators in the categories of independent, artisan and experimental perfume from across the globe, chosen for perfumes released in 2016.

The Art and Olfaction Awards was founded in 2012 as an independent awards mechanism designed to celebrate innovation and excellence in artisan and independent perfume, and experimentation in scent within arts practices. The Art and Olfaction Awards are a programme of The Institute for Art and Olfaction, a non-profit organisation based in Los Angeles, CA.
