Ultraviolet

What moves @ Ultraviolet

The Michelin guide, the most prestigious restaurant guide in the world, has bestowed the Ultraviolet Restaurant, in Shanghai, China, with two Michelin stars*.

The Ultraviolet restaurant, open since May 2012, is the first restaurant of its kind attempting to unite food with multi-sensorial technology in order to create a fully immersive and very unique dining experience.

Each of Chef Pairet’s distinctively prepared courses is accompanied by its own superbly curated five senses experience – hearing, sight, touch, smell and taste – which includes tailor made scents created exclusively for Ultraviolet by MANE.
The MANE catalogue of scents includes Church, Walking Through the Forest, Sea & Rocks, Provence-Garrigue, The Forgotten Peach and Toi Ma Rose.

On the 15th of November, Mr. Jean MANE, CEO and President of the MANE Group, hosted a banquet at Ultraviolet inviting MANE CHINA’s guests to enjoy a unique “multisensory taste” immersion comprising 20 dishes enhanced with visuals, audio and MANE olfactory compositions!

*On the 21st of September 2016, Michelin launched its first restaurant guide on the Chinese mainland. The 2017 Shanghai Michelin Guide attributed 26 restaurants in Shanghai from one to three stars. Ultraviolet – the world’s first multi-sensorial restaurant in Shanghai, was awarded two Michelin stars.
