The 2014 US Fragrance Foundation Awards were announced.

During this ceremony, Ralf Schwieger’s Iris Nazarena for Aedes de Venustas was announced as the winner of the 2014 Perfume Extraordinaire of the Year Award.

This award recognizes the creativity of a fragrance house and we are proud to share that this submission from MANE was selected after being evaluated blind by a panel of industry noses led by Ann Gottlieb.

Our creator of Iris Nazarena says:

“MANE offers me the opportunity to work on artistic pieces such as Iris Nazarena as well as big endeavors like our Armani Sì, that's a great spectrum of creative work for a perfumer, all done in transatlantic spirit: I am happy to be part of the link between Paris and New York!

I am delighted that my first take on the iris theme gets this kind of acknowledgement, I hope I was able to contribute a little piece to the iris saga, as I consider Chanel 19 still one of the ultimate masterpieces”.

This is the third time that the creativity of MANE’s team of Fine Fragrance perfumers is acknowledged.

In 2009, A Travers le Miroir by Thierry Mugler received the Perfume Extraordinaire of the Year Award by the Fragrance Foundation in New York and in 2012 Orange Sanguine by Atelier Cologne– also created by Ralf Schwieger – was awarded the Specialist’s Prize (Prix des Experts) by the Fragrance Foundation France.

We are also proud to announce that Jo Malone’s Peony & Blush Suede Body Crème and Body & Hand Wash was elected as the winner for the category US Bath and Body Line of the Year.
