This award, given by Ernst & Young in partnership with Compagnie Financière Edmond de Rothschild and economic press magazines “L’Entreprise” and “Les Echos”, was created 19 years ago to reward the manager of a French, very performing company. 2011 award goes to Jean Mane, President and CEO of the eponymous group.
The group performed very well in 2010 with a 28 % growth (+ 13.2 % in 2009) and a consolidated turnover of 480 million € which ranks Mane among the 6 biggest companies of its industry.
Established in 30 countries all around the world with 21 production facilities and 27 R&D centres, the group is mostly oriented towards international markets. It has reinforced its presence in North Africa and Middle East with new facilities in Dubai, Algiers and a joint-venture with Banawi in Saudi Arabia. Expansion has been initialised in the US, Indonesia and China in 2011 and towards 2012.
With a global staff of 3000 people, MANEis a world-wide company and a global player. However, defending the independence of his group, Jean Mane has a clear objective and says : “Our goal in ten years is to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the company and be independent” .
