We are very excited and proud to present MANE Colombia’s new facilities: production, creative centre, sales & marketing offices for both fragrances & flavours divisions, for Colombia and the Andean region.
MANE Colombia is located 40 km away from Medellín – Colombia’s second biggest city after Bogota D.C. - and just 10 minutes away from JMC International Airport.
The new site is a 10,000 square metre building with a production capacity doubled from the previous site. It is an intelligent construction under LEED standards, built with convergent, efficient and sustainable systems focused on respect and care for natural resources through self-supply of water and energy. In addition, it has a bioclimatic design that provides adequate lighting, ventilation and indoor air quality.
We are committed to the environment and sustainability; therefore our new facilities have:
- A closed cycle of water consumption with a rainwater and wastewater treatment plant
- Convergence - BMS building management system: MANE Colombia is one of the most automated facilities in Latin America. It has an infrastructure of 14 convergent subsystems that allows us to manage the administration of formulas, raw materials weighing and manufacturing processes in a more intelligent, efficient and ecological way.
- Air: the facilities have an adiabatic air system that exchanges the air and produces air cooling through the evaporation of water. In order to guarantee a clean inlet and outlet air, the facility has a bipolar ionization system.
These new facilities were inaugurated on 23rd March during a celebration hosted by Alejandro Henao, Director of the affiliate and all of the MANE Colombia team, in the presence of Jean Mane – President & CEO of the Group, Michel Mane – Director of the Americas Region, Miles Sakal – Director of Latin America, as well as officials including Dr. Luis Pérez Gutiérrez, Governor of the province of Antioquia and Mr. Gautier Mignot, Ambassador of France in Colombia.
During the ceremony, Jean Mane alluded to the creation of MANE Colombia over 15 years ago and declared: “Enhancing our R&D and production capabilities in Colombia through the construction of this innovative building, both in style and energetic performance recognized by LEED standards, makes MANE Colombia truly unique within the Group. These new facilities, coupled with our team’s expertise and local consumer understanding allows us to strengthen our position to better serve our customers in the Andean region and capture growth opportunities in fragrances and flavours in these markets”.
