MANE, presenting new molecules research at the F&F 2013 conference

The Flavors & Fragrances Conference, originally organised by the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Society of the Chemical Industry, and last held at the Royal College in London in 2007, has been taken over by the Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker.

Planned this year in Leipzig from September 11th to 13th and organised by Dr. Philip Kraft and Dr. Johannes Panten, the event followed the successful format of the previous meetings with a broad subject coverage including natural product chemistry, foods and flavours, perfumery and olfaction, and of course as main focus Fragrance Chemistry.

Dr. Caroline PLESSIS from MANE’s organic chemistry research group, presented recent results in the search for new aroma chemicals, focusing on the Animal and Ambery fragrance families.
