MANE wants to spark conversations about plant-based food and prove that it can be a creative source of inspiration for the food industry.

Throughout a 3-day workshop hold in Vouvry, Switzerland, MANE’s chef community gathered to think about the future of vegan ready meals, exchanging their ideas and knowledge from different backgrounds and sharing their experiences.

The goal was to look beyond meat and seafood analogues and create innovative solutions for crafting vegan ready meals, while ensuring interesting sensory profiles. For instance, they imagined:

1) Seitan, pepper and cashew cheese stuffed pasta shells served in tomato sauce
2) Potato dumplings filled with mushrooms and vegetables and served with a mushroom cream sauce
3) Vegetable strudel served with black rice
4) Bobotie with lentils and vegan custard
5) Roasted carrot served with savoury oats, kale pesto and hazelnuts.

MANE chefs believe that they can help final consumers more easily adopt a plant-based diet by showcasing tasty and interesting meals. They want to demonstrate how easy it is for anyone to cut meat from time to time or even more often.
